Dwarf Blue Curled
Kale
Heavily crinkled leaves make fine kale chips and hold up well after harvest. 12-14" high plants with a wide spread of plumage. Slow to bolt, cold hardy & overwinters well.
Grows best in well-drained soil with compost and available nutrients like nitrogen. Add compost to ensure that the seedlings will have food immediately available to them once transplanted. Avoid planting where any member of the cabbage family grew the year before.

Lacinato Rainbow

Lovely blue-green leaves, plus shades of red and deep purple (most vivid in cool weather) that were created by crossing classic Lacinato with Redbor to create this hardy kale.

Portuguese
Kale
This hybrid variety originating in Portugal produces wide,
blue-green leaves with a prominent white midrib. It is heat
resistant and it welcomes the colder months with
a sweeter and more nutritious harvest of greens. The
leaves are traditionally used in soups and stews such as
Caldo Verde, the national soup of Portugal.

Nero Di Toscana
Kale
This very tender and juicy variety is called palm kale because the plant looks just like a little palm tree. It is also known as dinosaur, Lacinato or Tuscan kale. A hardy, non-heading variety that produces juicy, very tender and delicious dark green leaves. Harvest young for best flavor

Kalettes resulted from breeding crosses between Brussels sprouts and kale, resulting in small open, flower-like florets.

Westlandse Winter
Kale
A vigorous producer with attractive blue-green leaves. Medium-tall plants have large frames and good bulk. USDA Certified Organic. Prefers a fertile, well-drained soil high in organic matter with a pH range of 6.0–7.5. Avoid planting where any member of the cabbage family grew the previous year. Kale prefers cooler growing temperatures, between 55–75°F

Remarkably attractive dark green kale with red veined, frilly, tightly curled leaves. A vigorous performer with good cold tolerance. Leaves darken to deep scarlet in late season. Begin harvesting leaves when young and allow plant to grow well into the early winter. Plant grows 24-36" tall by 24" wide.

Suiho Chinese
Kale
Fresh, green, soft and delicious with wide ¾” stem, this variety of Chinese kale/broccoli has round medium green leaves that are slightly wrinkled. Also known as Noble Jade or Emerald Green variety. The plant grows about 14" tall and is semi-spreading. Resistant to diseases and heat tolerant.

A bite-sized kale! Through traditional breeding methods, over several years, crosses between brussels sprouts and kale have resulted in Kalettes. The complex flavor of sprouts is combined with the mild, nutty taste of kale resulting in a floret that is easy and versatile in the kitchen. The green and purple, bicolor florets are produced on brussels sprout like plants and are ready to harvest when 2" tall. Enjoy them raw, grilled, broiled or sauteed.

2016 All-America Selections (AAS) National Winner. Tightly ruffled leaves on nearly stemless stalks, making the short, attractive plants ideal in gardens and containers alike. The excellent tasting, almost nutty-flavored leaves are tender enough to enjoy in fresh salads but also hold up well when cooked. Harvest early and often as plants are quick re-leaf.
