Janet Stanko, Chair, VISTA's Pond Committee, received wonderful help from 8-11 USF Rotaract members who weeded and tended the pollinator garden and trees abound the pond, as well as transplanted more Hammock twinflower groundcover to hold the surrounding soil and inhibit weed growth.
Three volunteers continued removal of invasive Elephant Ears at VISTA's NW border and 3 others collected native plant seedlings that "self-seeded" in our Wildflower Garden, which we will share with other community gardens to foster pollinator habitats throughout Tampa Bay.
